Bring the following for class: You must purchase the Port City pants patterns by Sew to Grow from Mountain Creek Quilt Shop ___Thread– 40 or 50 weight, any brand, color to match your fabric and you can bring a contrasting color for topstitching ___Wind 2 bobbins with the same thread as your top thread (you can use a bobbin weight thread also) ___Sewing Machine ___Foot pedal and all cords ___Manual for sewing machine ___Favorite marking pen (this should NOT be an air-erase pen) ___3 yards of fabric (linen, chambray, tercel, rayon, or other light or woven fabric) PREWASH YOUR FABRIC BEFORE YOU CUT IT ___New sewing machine needle ___Pattern Ease - 2-3 yards depending on the size of your pattern ___Painter’s tape ___Black sharpie ___Lightweight fusible interfacing ___Measuring tape ___3/4 yard of 1 ¼” elastic ___ 2 safety pins ___ Fabric scissors ___Paper Scissors ___ Pins ___ Sewing machine feet needed: zig-zag foot and your regular machine foot for general sewing or a Overcast foot (if you have it) ___Seam Ripper ___ Parchment paper or Applique pressing sheet Once you have signed up for class, Lynn will email you a video on cutting out your pants. You should do this before you come to class so we will have time to complete your pants. You will use the pattern ease, painter’s tape, and sharpie before you get to class.
